How adorable are these illustrations done by Joana Avillez for Refinery29? It's an illustrated guide to some of fashion's biggest icons. The mix included more such as Audre Leon Talley, Anna Piaggi and Susie Bubble just to name a few.
I love how Joana Avillez has managed to encapsulated the style of these personalities pretty dead on point and how she broke their style down by explaining their trademark fasionware (ie. knuckle rings for Guinness and crystal-buckled pilgrim shoes for Jacobs).
Joana Avillez is a Manhattan-based cartoonist and I am already a fan of her work! I love her dry sense of humor and wit.
